About TRK 251

Benelli TRK 251 is a adventure bike available at a starting price of Rs. 2,99,000 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 3 colours. The Benelli TRK 251 is powered by 249cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 25.47 bhp and a torque of 21.1 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Benelli TRK 251 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This TRK 251 bike weighs 164 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 18 liters.

Benelli India has updated its portfolio with the launch of the new TRK 251 to rival the likes of the KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan, and the BMW G 310 GS. This quarter-litre motorcycle uses a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to deliver 25.4bhp of maximum power at 9,250rpm and 21.1Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm.

The TRK 502-inspired styling cues include a twin-pod headlight, a nose-like fender, a semi-fairing with integrated front turn indicators, a tall windscreen, an 18-litre fuel tank, and a split-style saddle. The feature list includes full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and a dual-channel ABS.

The suspension setup on the TRK 251 includes upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. The anchoring tasks are performed by a 280mm disc at the front and a 240mm rotor at the back. The TRK 251 rides on 17-inch wheels on both ends, boasts a seat height of 800mm, and packs a ground clearance of 170mm.

This quarter-litre adventure tourer is available in three colours – Glossy White, Glossy Black, and Glossy Grey.

Benelli TRK 251 Expert Opinion

  • Good Things

    • Has great road presence
    • Equipped with good features
    • Gets good exhaust sound
  • Could be Better

    • Misses out on spoke wheels
    • Priced a bit high
    • Limited sales, service reach

BikeWale's Take

The TRK 251 is Benelli’s most affordable adventure touring motorcycle. It resembles the TRK 501 but gets smaller body panels and different paint schemes. The performance is decent and the comfort level is expected to on par with its rivals. But the brand has limited sales and service reach which can hamper the overall ownership experience.
