About Caponord 1200 ABS

The Aprilia Caponord 1200 has been on sale globally since 2013. It’s a part street enduro part sports tourer kind of motorcycle. With its relatively large dimensions, the Caponord 1200 has been designed to offer optimum comfort even while riding with a pillion or with heavy luggage. Aprilia says it’s the ideal bike for long distance travelling as well as daily usage.

The Caponord 1200 ABS comes fitted with a range of standard equipment including multimap ride by wire system, ATC (Aprilia Traction Control) and a two channel ABS system.

The Caponord 1200 ABS is powered by a 1197, V-Twin engine producing 125bhp and 115Nm of torque. This liquid-cooled unit is claimed to offer fluid power delivery for everyday riding or touring over rough terrain. The engine comes with a triple engine mapping system, which the rider can select even on the move. There’s Touring, Sport and Rain for varied riding conditions.

The Caponord 1200 ABS is offered with four colour options – Fluo Red, Glam White and White. It is priced at Rs 18.86 lakh (ex-showroom), which puts it against Triumph’s Tiger Explorer which starts at Rs 18.66 lakh (ex-showroom).
